When I think of Jeep vehicles, I think of off road, approach and departure angles along with maneuverability, ground clearance, etc. Think the spied mules meets these criteria?

Easy answer.

If it still shares a lot with the JK what does that tell you?

I assume the pickup bed would affect the approach and departure angles somewhat, but it shouldn't be a concern for daily use unless you plan to back into a very steep driveway.

Pretty much that ^

Why do you think it would be any different?

I didn't think any different... Approach angle isn't really a complaint most pickup owners have simply because of how high they sit even from factory. Tack on extra suspension that some WRangler pickup owners will add in and you have a perfect off-roading beast. Just don't try to climb what a normal two door Wrangler struggle with.

Understandably you should be concerned in off-roading situations that are literally as extreme to get you 3-wheels up or something. I can guarantee there won't be a driveway that you'll have an issue reversing, or going forward up.

The only one thing I would be concerned about would be because of the much longer wheelbase of the pickup compared to the 2 door, going over a big angle and bottoming out mid way.

Lucky for Jeep they won't have to worry about consumers complaining here since a lot of the pick ups will be used like all the pick-up's we know of these days. But of course some of that will be hitting off-road courses.

Jeeps needs sales volume and now an official pick-up production model makes sense in that respect.

A small minority of them, indeed will be hitting off-road courses. An even smaller portion on those guys will be actually difficult off-road courses lol.

Sales volume Jeep has had for a while and I can't see the Wrangler Pickup bringing any sort of slow down at all.

Only thing the pickup will do is increase sales to greater proportions, no way it will slow them down. This all comes back to the increase in truck sales in most of the lighter duty truck segments.

Guaranteed it wouldn't slow their sales down by any means at all. This is going to be yet another successful product from the brand and it'll end up being a huge money maker like the Wrangler is. For FCA it'll come down to the Wranglers, Wrangler Pickup, and Dodge Rams that'll draw in the highest levels of profit.
