KTPO Hit 2 Million Milestone

The KUKA Toledo Production Operations (KTPO) has recently assembled their two millionth Jeep Wrangler! They build the world's supply of body-in-white Jeep Wranglers in both two and four doors, with the first million taking 7 years. The second million only took 4 years and we could see a new 3 million record from them not too long after the new JL is released.

impressive numbers

starting to wonder if the JL is also developed for military use because if that's the case then odds are they might have some even more ambitious goals lined up for Wrangler production.

I doubt it was developed for military, but maybe fleet sales will increase the production volume so they can hit 3 million faster.

Its possible that they did factor in millitary use since there are many needs the milliatry has that this can serve much like the older Jeeps. Already some police forces use the JK so that is a good indication. Just won't be used as much as the millitary wranglers we all once knew

Army versions of the Wrangler JK's were called J8's. From what it seems countries overseas use these more than North American countries.

I guess that's all the confirmation we need and that being the case we should see something similar play out for the upcoming JL. These were originally developed for military use along with SUV's similar to it. Even the toyota Fj cruiser is used in the military

might start looking at JL and JT Scrambler test mules to see if there's any hint of this because odds are somewhere we seen a military version floating around.

Changes from the JK to JL aren't drastic in any way but the fact things like a fold down windshield no longer exist could be a downside for militates around the world. Do you think little things like that could discount the JL from that sort of service?
